Medium Pressure Valves Features

Our medium-pressure valves come in a variety of options, including:

  • 2-way straight
  • 2-way angle
  • 2-way angle / replaceable seat
  • 3-way / 1 on pressure
  • 3-way / 2 on pressure
  • 3-way / 2-stem manifold

Choose from the following connection sizes, rated valve flow coefficients (Cv), and pressure ratings:

  • Connection size: 1/4”, 3/8”, 9/16”, 3/4”, 1”, 1-1/2”
  • Rated Cv: 0.31, 0.75, 1.30, 2.50, 4.40, 14
  • Pressure rating: Up to 22,500 PSI at RT, or 15,200 PSI at RT for 1-1/2”

Standard valves can withstand temperatures up to 450 °F and feature carbon/Teflon packing. However, you can order valves with high-temperature packing or stuffing box extensions for operating temperatures between -423 °F and 1200 °F. The following suffixes at the end of the catalog order number (21V4M071) indicate varying temperature specifications:

  • -TG: Standard valves with PTFE glass packing for temperatures up to 600 °F.
  • -GY: Standard valves featuring graphite braided yarn packing for temperatures up to 800 °F.
  • -HT: Extended stuffing box valves with graphite braided yarn packing to 1200 °F.
  • -B: Standard valves with PTFE packing and cryogenic trim materials to -100 °F.
  • -LT: Extended stuffing box valves with PTFE packing material and cryogenic trim materials to -423°F.

Medium Pressure Check Valves

Depending on the application, we offer two main types of medium-pressure check valves.

O-Ring Check Valves

MAXIMATOR® O-ring check valves provide high quality directional flow control and tight shutoff for liquids and gasses. The check valves include collars and glands. These check valves are not to be used as relief devices.

Our medium-pressure O-ring check valves consist of the following primary materials:

  • Body, cover, poppet, and cover gland: 316 stainless steel
  • 1-1/2″ body: 318 stainless steel
  • Spring: 300 series stainless steel
  • O-Ring: Viton “A” (-4 °F to 392°F)

Ball Check Valves

MAXIMATOR® ball check valves prevent reverse flow where bubble-tight shutoff is not mandatory. These check valves are designed with a ball cradled floating poppet to assure positive inline seating. This poppet design allows full flow around the ball to minimize pressure drop. Check valves are rated to 660°F and come with collars and glands. These check valves are not to be used as a relief device.

Materials for our ball check valves include:

  • Body, cover, poppet and cover gland: 316 stainless steel
  • 1-1/2″ body: 318 stainless steel
  • Ball and spring: 300 series stainless steel
